There aren’t many reviews for these yet so I wanted to share my experience in case it helps another mum-to-be. I’ve only had it a short time but it’s been working really well and I’m really happy with it so far. Just a little tip: it does come with gel, but aloe vera gel can also work if that’s what you already have at home. If you’re quite early on, it’s worth watching a few videos to get an idea of where to place it. I managed to use it from around 10 weeks, and having a full bladder seemed to help at that stage.

Really impressed with this. The sound is very clear and it’s simple to use with the gel included. It did take me a little time at first to find the baby, but after a bit of practice it became much easier. I first tried it at 14 weeks +5 and was able to hear it quite clearly. At that stage baby moves around a lot, so sometimes it takes a bit of patience to locate the right spot. Just take your time and don’t panic if you can’t find it straight away, baby can easily move out of the way.

My midwife mentioned these for using at home so I decided to try it and I’m really glad I did. Once you find the right spot the sound comes through clearly. At first I was hearing the placenta which is slower, but the baby sounds more like a little galloping horse so it’s easy to tell the difference. Obviously it’s not the same as the equipment used at appointments, but for using at home it’s lovely. Really

After two early losses I’ve been quite anxious this time, so I got this hoping it would give me some reassurance and help me feel more connected without needing to book a private scan. I’m only 11 weeks so I wasn’t sure if I would find anything yet, but with a bit of patience I did manage to hear my little one. Not very loud yet, but definitely there.
